When filtering, the molten aluminum carries inclusions and flows along the tortuous channels and pores, and is directly intercepted, adsorbed, deposited, etc.

When the melt flows in the hole, the channel of the Foundry Filter is curved, and the melt flowing through the channel changes the flow direction. and the inclusions collide with the hole wall anvil and firmly adhere to the hole wall.

A molten metal filter medium made of a porous ceramic material and formed into a flat plate shape has been proposed.
The filter medium has a large filtering capacity of molten aluminum, and can effectively treat a large amount of molten metal continuously produced in a smelting furnace.
However, a large problem has occurred in the conventional molten metal filtering device equipped with a filtering medium of a flat porous ceramic material.

 

In recent years, China has also researched some new technologies for purifying molten aluminum, such as dynamic vacuum processing, continuous ultrasonic degassing purification, and corundum ceramic filters, which have achieved good results.

However, these process methods are relatively complicated and costly, and it is difficult for them to be widely promoted in Shangye cattle production.
