{"id":5630,"date":"2019-08-30T08:17:41","date_gmt":"2019-08-30T08:17:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.adtechamm.com\/?p=5630"},"modified":"2019-08-30T08:17:41","modified_gmt":"2019-08-30T08:17:41","slug":"filtration-of-molten-metal-using-ceramic-filters","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.adtechamm.com\/tr\/filtration-of-molten-metal-using-ceramic-filters\/","title":{"rendered":"Seramik filtreler kullan\u0131larak erimi\u015f metalin s\u00fcz\u00fclmesi"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Seramik filtreler kullan\u0131larak erimi\u015f metalin s\u00fcz\u00fclmesi<\/p>\n<p>Non-metallic inclusions in casting cause both cosmetic and functional problems, which can lead to expensive defect correction or complete rejection.<br \/>\nUntil recently, removing inclusions was almost impossible.<br \/>\nToday, there are filters on the market that have shown their ability to effectively remove non-metallic inclusions from both iron-based alloys and non-ferrous alloys.<br \/>\nAttempts to prevent the penetration of undesirable non-metallic inclusions into the mold cavity with molten metal have historically focused on three areas:<br \/>\n1) smelting and refining; 2) pouring metal from the ladle and pouring; 3) gating system.<\/p>\n<p>Standard methods for melting and refining, as well as for casting metal from a ladle and pouring, minimize the formation of inclusions such as deoxidized products &#8211; endogenous, and prevent the growth of foreign particles, for example, slag and refractory material &#8211; exogenous, and are also intended for control for their mixtures.<\/p>\n<p>In the gating system, particular importance is attached to the capture of non-metallic inclusions that occur from previous operations. At the same time, the gating system involves reducing re-oxidation and minimizing erosion of the molding sand.<\/p>\n<p>The moldable mixture corroded during pouring would be introduced into the mold cavity and would lead to sand inclusions.<br \/>\nThere are various gating systems with a large number of special elements to increase the efficiency of the gating system in capturing non-metallic inclusions.<br \/>\nThis includes elements such as coarse filters and slag traps. The cake becomes thicker during the filtration process, causing the metal flow to slow down and stop completely over time.<\/p>\n<p>In deep bed filtration, the retained solids are significantly smaller than the pores of the filter. Surface forces cause particles to adhere to the surface of the filter.
