(US$ 1.100\u20131.200 per ton).<br \/>\nBiaya produksi pabrik peleburan marjinal juga telah menurun dalam empat tahun terakhir, dari hampir US$3.000 per ton menjadi sekitar US$2.250 per ton.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tarif listrik bervariasi dari satu daerah ke daerah lainnya.<\/strong> Tarif listrik di Timur Tengah sekitar US$20\/MWh, di Amerika Serikat dan Eropa sekitar US$35-40\/MWh, sedangkan di Tiongkok sekitar US$55\/MWh.<br \/>\nMenerapkan subsidi harga listrik. Sejak 1 Januari 2016, pemerintah Tiongkok kembali menurunkan harga listrik dari pembangkit berbahan bakar batu bara yang terhubung ke jaringan sebesar RMB 0,03\/kWh (US$4,6\/MWh).<br \/>\nMenurut CRU, produksi aluminium primer Tiongkok yang didukung oleh pembangkit listrik milik sendiri mencapai 62% dari total produksi tahun 2015.
