Efek penyaringan dari filter tersebut membuat semua saluran mengalirkan besi cair dalam kondisi sebelum disaring, sehingga besi cair yang telah disaring berada dalam keadaan aliran laminar yang stabil, dan reaksi erosi serta oksidasi pada besi cair pun berkurang, sehingga inklusi mudah mengapung dan ditangkap.
