Katup pengatur aliran aluminium cair digunakan untuk mengontrol pembukaan nosel tungku. Dibandingkan dengan metode rotasi integral pada tungku penahan miring, responsnya lebih cepat, dan bagian pendinginan yang disebabkan oleh keterlambatan deteksi dapat dihindari lebih lanjut.
