Pabrik ini berlokasi di Pavlodar. Diresmikan pada tahun 2007. Pabrik ini mencakup bengkel elektrolisis, bengkel pengecoran, bengkel pembuatan anoda, serta departemen pendukung lainnya. I. Mendeleev. Berdasarkan kandungan di kerak bumi, aluminium menempati peringkat pertama di antara logam dan peringkat ketiga di antara unsur-unsur lainnya (setelah oksigen dan silikon). Kulit bumi mengandung 8,8% aluminium (sebagai perbandingan, kandungan besi di kulit bumi adalah 4,2%, tembaga \u2013 0,003, emas \u2013 0,000005%). Di alam, aluminium hanya ditemukan dalam bentuk berbagai senyawa yang sangat beragam. Sebagian besar di antaranya adalah aluminium oksida \u2013 dalam kehidupan sehari-hari disebut alumina, atau sekadar tanah liat. Tanah liat terdiri dari sekitar sepertiga aluminium oksida dan merupakan bahan baku potensial untuk produksinya.<\/p>\n<p>Aluminium memiliki sejumlah sifat yang membedakannya dari logam-logam lain. Sifat-sifat tersebut antara lain kepadatan yang rendah, keuletan yang baik, kekuatan mekanis yang memadai, serta konduktivitas termal dan listrik yang tinggi. Aluminium bersifat tidak beracun, tidak magnetis, dan tahan korosi terhadap sejumlah bahan kimia.<\/p>\n<p>Konsumen utama aluminium dan paduannya adalah industri penerbangan dan otomotif, transportasi kereta api dan perairan, teknik mesin, industri kelistrikan dan teknik instrumen, teknik industri dan teknik sipil, industri kimia, serta produksi barang-barang konsumsi.<\/p>\n<p>Produksi aluminium<br \/>\nInti dari proses produksi aluminium adalah memperoleh alumina anhidrat yang bebas dari pengotor, yang kemudian dilanjutkan dengan produksi logam aluminium melalui elektrolisis alumina yang terlarut dalam kriolit.<\/p>\n<p>Proses produksi aluminium terdiri dari dua tahap utama:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Memperoleh alumina (Al\u2082O\u2083) dari bijih aluminium;<br \/>\n\u2022 Elektrolisis dan pemurnian aluminium dari alumina;<\/p>\n<p>Alumina diperoleh dari bauksit melalui proses perlakuan dengan alkali. Aluminium hidroksida tersebut kemudian dikeringkan dengan cara dipanaskan dalam tungku putar, sehingga diperoleh alumina yang telah dikeringkan.<\/p>\n<p>Untuk memproduksi krioit, hidrogen fluorida terlebih dahulu diekstraksi dari fluorspar, kemudian dihasilkan asam hidrofluorik. Aluminium hidroksida ditambahkan ke dalam larutan asam hidrofluorik, sehingga terbentuk asam fluoroaluminat, yang kemudian dinetralkan dengan soda, dan krioit mengendap. Endapan tersebut disaring dan dikeringkan dalam mesin pengering putar.<\/p>\n<p>Dengan demikian, diperoleh alumina, yaitu bubuk berwarna abu-abu.
