Kemurnian gas inert tersebut harus di atas 99,99%.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Tujuan degassing adalah menyuntikkan gas inert ke dalam aluminium cair untuk menghilangkan hidrogen.<\/strong><br \/>\nProses penghilangan gas juga dianggap sebagai cara yang sangat efektif untuk memisahkan kotoran.<br \/>\nTelah diajukan dua model teoretis utama untuk menjelaskan prinsip degassing. Model makro berpendapat bahwa proses penghilangan setiap pengotor memiliki sifat yang serupa. Dalam model mikroskopis, yaitu menurut teori ini, karena tekanan uap hidrogen yang lebih tinggi, hidrogen terlarut berdifusi ke dalam gas di dalam cairan aluminium yang disuntikkan.
