India mendesak AS untuk memberikan keringanan tarif aluminium<\/p>\n

Menurut pernyataan terbaru dari Menteri Perdagangan dan Industri Suresh Prabhu, India dan Amerika Serikat telah saling bertukar usulan terkait kemungkinan perjanjian perdagangan untuk menyelesaikan masalah-masalah yang berkaitan dengan perdagangan bilateral.<\/p>\n

\u201cPembicaraan masih berlangsung,\u201d katanya, sambil menambahkan bahwa AS telah mengajukan tawaran, yang kemudian dibalas dengan tawaran balasan dari India, dan saat ini pembicaraan sedang membahas hal tersebut.<\/p>\n

India telah menunda penerbitan pemberitahuan mengenai kenaikan bea masuk atas sebanyak 29 produk asal AS.<\/p>\n

Negara tersebut telah mengumumkan akan menaikkan bea masuk atas 29 produk, termasuk kacang-kacangan serta produk besi dan baja, yang diimpor dari AS sebagai tindakan balasan terhadap kenaikan tarif yang dilakukan oleh pemerintahan Trump. Bea masuk baru ini akan mulai berlaku mulai 2 November 2018.<\/p>\n

Langkah tersebut diambil menyusul munculnya laporan bahwa AS mungkin bersedia memberikan pengecualian kepada India dari kenaikan tarif baja dan aluminium sebagai bagian dari pembahasan dalam perundingan perdagangan antara India dan AS.<\/p>\n

Namun, India masih mendesak agar Amerika Serikat memberikan keringanan atas bea masuk tinggi yang dikenakan terhadap produk-produk baja dan aluminium tertentu, pemulihan insentif ekspor bagi barang-barang dalam negeri tertentu di bawah Sistem Preferensi Umum (GSP), serta akses pasar yang lebih luas bagi produk-produknya dari berbagai sektor, termasuk pertanian, otomotif, komponen otomotif, dan teknik.<\/p>\n
