Hingga saat ini, negara-negara Afrika yang telah menemukan cadangan sumber daya bauksit antara lain:<\/p>\n<p>Guinea, Ghana, Sierra Leone, Kamerun, Pantai Gading, Mozambik, Madagaskar.<\/p>\n<p>Di antara negara-negara tersebut, Guinea memiliki cadangan bauksit yang paling melimpah, dengan cadangan terbukti sebesar 25 miliar ton, yang mencakup sepertiga dari total cadangan terbukti dunia. Selain itu, menurut para pakar industri, total cadangan potensial bauksit di Guinea diperkirakan melebihi 40 miliar ton.<\/p>\n<p>Sumber daya bauksit Guinea sebagian besar terkonsentrasi di wilayah Bok\u00e9 (R\u00e9gion de Bok\u00e9). Cadangan di wilayah Bok\u00e9 mencapai 50% dari total cadangan Guinea. Setengah sisanya tersebar di wilayah dataran tinggi Fouta-Djalon dan beberapa wilayah bagian utara (la Haute-Guin\u00e9e).<\/p>\n<p>Menurut data Bank Dunia, Guinea menambang 42,17 juta ton bauksit pada tahun 2017 dan sekitar 60 juta ton pada tahun 2018. Produksinya menempati peringkat ketiga di dunia, di bawah Tiongkok dan Australia.<\/p>\n<p>Sejak tahun 2017, ekspor bauksit Guinea ke Tiongkok menyumbang sekitar 50% dari total impor Tiongkok, sehingga menjadikan Guinea sebagai sumber impor bauksit terbesar bagi Tiongkok.<\/p>\n<p>Kekuatan utama dalam ekspor bauksit ke Tiongkok adalah Winning Consortium, sebuah konsorsium yang terdiri dari Shandong Weiqiao Venture Group, Yantai Port Group, Singapore Winning, dan Guinea UMS (United Mining Supply). Pada tahun 2018, Win Alliance mengekspor sekitar 38 juta ton bauksit ke Tiongkok.<\/p>\n<p>Selain itu, proyek bauksit Bel Air milik perusahaan pertambangan Inggris Alufer Mining di Guinea secara resmi mulai beroperasi pada Agustus 2018. Tahap pertama dirancang untuk memproduksi 500 ton per tahun, sedangkan pada tahap kedua produksinya ditingkatkan menjadi 10 juta ton, yang seluruhnya juga diekspor ke Tiongkok.<\/p>\n<p>Selain itu, cabang Guinea dari GAC (Guinea Aluminium Company) yang merupakan bagian dari UAE Global Aluminium Group (EGA) di Sangaredi telah meluncurkan proyek bauksitnya pada Juni 2019. Tahap pertama dirancang untuk memproduksi 12 juta ton aluminium per tahun.
