La planta tendr\u00e1 capacidad para procesar m\u00e1s de 8.000 toneladas de m\u00f3dulos de bater\u00edas de autom\u00f3vil al a\u00f1o, y existe la posibilidad de ampliar su capacidad. Est\u00e1 previsto que el proyecto entre en funcionamiento a finales de 2021. Hydrovolt y Northvolt han invertido 120 millones de coronas noruegas en la planta a trav\u00e9s de la empresa conjunta Hydrovolt.<\/p>\n<p>Hydrovolt est\u00e1 construyendo la primera f\u00e1brica de Noruega dedicada al reciclaje de bater\u00edas de coches el\u00e9ctricos, situada en la localidad de Fredrikstad.<\/p>\n<p>Fredrik Andresen, director ejecutivo de Hydrovolt, afirm\u00f3: \u201cNoruega lleva mucho tiempo siendo l\u00edder mundial en el uso de veh\u00edculos el\u00e9ctricos. A principios de 2021, m\u00e1s de la mitad de los coches vendidos en Noruega eran veh\u00edculos el\u00e9ctricos. Nos convertimos en el primer pa\u00eds del mundo en vender m\u00e1s de la mitad de veh\u00edculos el\u00e9ctricos. Por lo tanto, tambi\u00e9n deber\u00edamos esforzarnos por ser l\u00edderes mundiales en el reciclaje de las bater\u00edas de los coches usados una vez que estos se retiran de la circulaci\u00f3n\u201d.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>La planta utilizar\u00e1 energ\u00eda renovable 100% y adoptar\u00e1 un proceso autom\u00e1tico a gran escala para la trituraci\u00f3n y clasificaci\u00f3n de bater\u00edas. Mediante una futura ampliaci\u00f3n, el proyecto tambi\u00e9n procesar\u00e1 otros tipos de bater\u00edas, adem\u00e1s de las de autom\u00f3vil, incluidas las del sector mar\u00edtimo de toda Europa.<\/p>\n<p>Arvid Moss, vicepresidente ejecutivo de Hydro Energy y Desarrollo Corporativo, afirm\u00f3: \u201cLas bater\u00edas desempe\u00f1an un papel fundamental en la transici\u00f3n mundial hacia las energ\u00edas renovables. A trav\u00e9s de Hydrovolt, estamos sentando las bases para una cadena de suministro circular de bater\u00edas en Europa\u201d.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>La empresa noruega Batteriretur, situada cerca de la planta de Hydrovolt en Fredrikstad, suministrar\u00e1 las bater\u00edas y se encargar\u00e1 de la explotaci\u00f3n de la planta. Las operaciones estar\u00e1n estrechamente integradas con las actividades actuales de Hydro y Northvolt. Para ello, es necesario impulsar el proceso de reciclaje con el fin de lograr el reciclaje y mejorar a\u00fan m\u00e1s el impacto medioambiental de las bater\u00edas. Hydrovolt representa un hito clave en este camino\u201d.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Hydro y Northvolt constituyeron Hydrovt en el verano de 2020. En noviembre de 2020, Hydrovt recibi\u00f3 una subvenci\u00f3n de 43,5 millones de coronas noruegas de Enova.
