\nEn algunas fundiciones, se establece la relaci\u00f3n entre las \u00e1reas de secci\u00f3n transversal de cada parte del sistema de colada (\u00e1rea de secci\u00f3n transversal del bebedero: suma de las \u00e1reas de secci\u00f3n transversal de los canales de colada: suma de las \u00e1reas de secci\u00f3n transversal de las coladas internas) para garantizar un caudal adecuado.
\nLos distintos medios filtrantes presentan una cierta ca\u00edda de presi\u00f3n, ya que modifican considerablemente el caudal del hierro fundido.
