Los moldes se llenaron con aleaciones A 201 (A1 \u2013 4,5%, Cu \u2013 0,6%, Ag \u2013 0,3%, Mn \u2013 0,25%, Mg), A 356 (A1 \u2013 7%, Si \u2013 0,3%, Mg) y 535 (A1 \u2013 7%, Mg \u2013 0,2%, Mn).<\/p>\n<p>Los filtros se colocaron en un hueco fabricado expresamente para ello en el colector.<br \/>\nLa relaci\u00f3n entre las \u00e1reas de la secci\u00f3n transversal del colector y las de los filtros de espuma cer\u00e1mica, teniendo en cuenta la velocidad de llenado del molde, se fij\u00f3 en 1:10.<br \/>\nLos filtros de espuma cer\u00e1mica se instalan lo m\u00e1s cerca posible de la cavidad del molde.<\/p>\n<p>Las piezas fundidas obtenidas mediante el uso de filtros de espuma cer\u00e1mica no presentaban, por regla general, defectos superficiales.<br \/>\nAl principio, esto solo ten\u00eda que ver con el proceso de filtraci\u00f3n.<br \/>\nSin embargo, estudios posteriores han demostrado que el uso de filtros de espuma en el cristalizador favorece un llenado suave y sin turbulencias de la cavidad del cristalizador y reduce la probabilidad de que se formen inclusiones de \u00f3xido en el metal.<\/p>\n<p>Estudios anteriores sobre el uso de filtros de cer\u00e1mika espumosa para la fundici\u00f3n de barras y l\u00e1minas finas han demostrado una reducci\u00f3n significativa de las inclusiones no met\u00e1licas.<br \/>\nMediante el control radiogr\u00e1fico, se ha podido constatar que se observa una mejora significativa en la calidad de las piezas fundidas de todas las aleaciones analizadas.<br \/>\nLas propiedades mec\u00e1nicas de las aleaciones de Al-Cu y Al-Si han aumentado ligeramente.<br \/>\nEn el caso de las aleaciones A1-Mg (especialmente propensas a la formaci\u00f3n de inclusiones de \u00f3xido), el uso de filtros permiti\u00f3 aumentar el l\u00edmite de resistencia a la tracci\u00f3n del 50% y duplicar el alargamiento.<\/p>\n<p>Este estudio se llev\u00f3 a cabo en varias fundiciones con piezas reales destinadas a aplicaciones cr\u00edticas.<br \/>\nEn este tipo de fundici\u00f3n se sol\u00edan utilizar mallas de acero o de fibra de vidrio.<br \/>\nLos resultados obtenidos con el uso de filtros de cer\u00e1mica espumosa se evaluaron compar\u00e1ndolos con la calidad de las piezas fundidas obtenidas mediante la tecnolog\u00eda tradicional.<\/p>\n<p>Los filtros de espuma cer\u00e1mica consist\u00edan en placas fabricadas industrialmente, con un grosor de 2,5 cm y unas dimensiones que oscilaban entre 5 \u00d7 5 cm y 10 \u00d7 15 cm.<br \/>\nEl volumen de los huecos es de 85-95%.<br \/>\nEl material cer\u00e1mico del filtro est\u00e1 compuesto principalmente por \u00f3xido de aluminio con una peque\u00f1a cantidad de \u00f3xido de cromo, lo que le confiere al filtro un color verde. Tambi\u00e9n se utilizaron filtros blancos de \u00f3xido de aluminio puro con mayor resistencia; su capacidad de purificaci\u00f3n no difer\u00eda de la de los filtros verdes.<\/p>\n<p>Todas las piezas fundidas se fabricaron utilizando la tecnolog\u00eda habitual en la producci\u00f3n de fundici\u00f3n, incluyendo la fusi\u00f3n, los sistemas de cierre y los m\u00e1rgenes de fundici\u00f3n. Se instalaron filtros de espuma cer\u00e1mica lo m\u00e1s cerca posible de la cavidad del molde, con el fin de evitar, en la \u00faltima fase de la fundici\u00f3n, la entrada de \u00f3xido e inclusiones no met\u00e1licas en la pieza fundida.<br \/>\nNo se recomienda instalar el filtro en la parte inferior del tubo vertical ni inmediatamente despu\u00e9s de la cubeta del canal de colada, para evitar que el filtro se obstruya con capas gruesas de \u00f3xido.<br \/>\nLos filtros se colocaban en posici\u00f3n vertical en el cristalizador, en funci\u00f3n de la tecnolog\u00eda utilizada para la fabricaci\u00f3n de la pieza fundida.<br \/>\nEl filtro poroso frena el llenado del molde, ralentizando la velocidad de vertido.<br \/>\nPara mantener la velocidad de llenado del molde, se determin\u00f3 que la secci\u00f3n transversal del filtro fuera aproximadamente 10 veces mayor que la del colector.<\/p>\n<p>El espacio entre el filtro y su cavidad se sell\u00f3 con una mezcla para evitar la formaci\u00f3n de huecos y el flujo de metal sin filtrar hacia la cavidad del molde.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><img class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-5603\"
