Construcci\u00f3n de una mina de bauxita en Guinea<\/strong>
\nGuinea Power Mining, la empresa guineana emergente dedicada a la producci\u00f3n de bauxita, ha aplazado la construcci\u00f3n de las infraestructuras de la mina hasta diciembre de este a\u00f1o. Ten\u00eda previsto dar a conocer la informaci\u00f3n a Asian Metal Network en octubre de este a\u00f1o.<\/p>\n

Seg\u00fan se ha informado, las lluvias actuales en Guinea son relativamente intensas, y se prev\u00e9 que la temporada de lluvias termine dentro de dos meses. \u201cUna vez finalizada la temporada de lluvias, lo arreglaremos a corto plazo y comenzaremos la construcci\u00f3n de las infraestructuras en diciembre. Se prev\u00e9 que las obras de infraestructura duren aproximadamente un a\u00f1o\u201d, afirm\u00f3 la fuente.<\/p>\n

El proyecto prev\u00e9 la obtenci\u00f3n de pr\u00e9stamos bancarios por un importe aproximado de $130 millones.<\/p>\n

La fuente indic\u00f3 que sus reservas de bauxita ascienden a unos 190 millones de toneladas y que la vida \u00fatil de la explotaci\u00f3n puede alcanzar unos 20 a\u00f1os. El proyecto tiene una capacidad de producci\u00f3n anual de 6 millones de toneladas y est\u00e1 previsto que entre en funcionamiento a finales de 2020. Suministra principalmente bauxita con un contenido de Al\u2082O\u2083 de 431 TP3Tmin y de SiO\u2082 de 1,61 TP3Tmax. Tienen previsto comenzar a buscar compradores en China el pr\u00f3ximo mes.<\/p>\n

El precio actual de la bauxita de Guinea, con un contenido de Al\u2082O\u2083 de 45%min y de SiO\u2082 de 3%max, es de aproximadamente US$53 por tonelada. Debido a las fuertes lluvias, las empresas mineras guineanas comenzaron a reducir la producci\u00f3n entre un 30 y un 50 % el mes pasado y se espera que vuelvan a la normalidad a finales de septiembre.<\/p>\n
